Out-of-town traveler held-up by lone hold-upper in east coast Print

Operatives of the Curuan Police Station arrested an alleged hold-upper who divested P220,000 cash from a traveler from Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay in Barangay Calabasa last Friday morning.

A police report disclosed that around 9:20 a.m. an Isuzu ELF truck driven by Dexter Pasinabo y Rosales, 37, married of Bobongan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte and his female passenger identified as Roselyn Anuarodin y Pene, 31, of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay were on their way to Calabasa proper in the city’s east coast and upon reaching Sitio Bahandi in the same barangay, a man who was later identified as Rogelio Limen y Falcasantos, 54, married of the same place blocked their way and pointed a handgun at them before announcing the heist.

The suspect took the money from Anuarodin then immediately escaped.

The incident was reported to the Curuan Police Station.

Policemen immediately conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the suspect.

Limen is now detained at the Curuan Police Station pending the filing of charges in court. – Dan Toribio
