PDEA confiscates P1.5-M worth of shabu Print

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated P1.5- million worth of shabu from a suspected big time drug pusher in Sitio Lungan Gihtung, Barangay Lagasan, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi last Monday.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the suspect as Badang Awal Abdul, 40, married.

Aspacio said that Abdul was nabbed during a buy-bust operation at around 1 p.m.

PDEA agents confiscated seven large- sized sachets of shabu with a market value of P1, 500,000 and P3,000 marked money from the possession of Abdul.

The suspect was taken to the PDEA office in Tawi-Tawi and was detained pending the filing of charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of  Republic Act 9165, the 2002 Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The arrest of Abdul came after surveillance  activities prior to the  buy-bust operation. – Dan Toribio
