Men rob fruit store, customer PDF Print E-mail

Two unidentified motorcycle-riding men barged into a fruit store and robbed the cashier and a customer of at least P230,000  cash in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur last Wednesday.

A Police Regional Office-9 report said that the incident occurred last Wednesday afternoon at a fruit wholesaler store owned by a certain Simon Ke in Purok Magdadaro, Barangay Monte Alegre, Aurora.

The report said that two unidentified suspects parked outside the store, drew their handguns and proceeded inside the store to the cashier’s booth.

One of the suspects approached the cashier,  instructed her to open the drawer and got the sales proceeds amounting to around P200,000.

Meantime, a customer identified as Eugine Delica y Ongco, 26 and his live-in partner arrived and was instructed by the robbers at gunpoint to enter the cashier’s booth.

The suspects then robbed Delica of his sling bag containing cash amounting to P30,000.

After divesting the victims of cash, one of the suspects fired his handgun and the two fled on board their motorcycle towards the direction of Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

Aurora Municipal Police Station personnel are still conducting hot pursuit operations for the suspects arrest.  (LAJ)
