SCC to celebrate 71st Foundation Day Print

Southern City Colleges Inc celebrates its 71st Foundation Day  through  a week-long series of activities starting today.

The school will host a Thanksgiving mass this morning at the East Campus along the MCLL Highway to kick off the festivities.

School officials will lead in the inauguration of the institution’s new infrastructure after the mass.

A Torch Parade will also be held starting at JS Alano street all the way to Paseo del Mar in the afternoon.

Dr. Victor Liozo, West Campus Administrator and Board of Trustees member, will give the welcome remarks to formally open the affair.

Zamboanga Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco- Salazar and First District Congressman Celso Lobregat will preside in the Ceremonial Lighting of the school’s Christmas lights.

Meanwhile, the mini-olympics is scheduled to start on December 4 at the school’s East Campus with Ms. Palma A. Sarapuddin, Department of Allied Medicine Dean, giving the welcome remarks.

Varsity players will lead the lighting of the torch, the raising of banners and the Administration of the Oath of Sportsmanship.

Mr. Jayson Mar U. Oro, SCCI Sports Coordinator, will declare the official opening of the mini-olympics.  (PR)
