Family of illegal drug traders arrested Print

Five family members who are allegedly into the illegal drug business are now detained together after being arrested during a drug buy-bust operation carried out by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-9) and police personnel in Putik last Monday.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio disclosed that at around 11 p.m. Monday, his team together with operatives of the Divisoria Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Ramos Drive, Morning Glory in Putik that led to the arrest of five family members.

They were  identified as Jayvee Sigeue y Saracena, male, 29, single; Jun Mark Sigeue y Saracena, male, 28, single; Analyn Sigeue y Saracena, female, 32, single, and their mother Virginia Sigeue y Saracena, 53. All  are residents of Ramos Drive, Morning Glory in Putik.

Also arrested was Reynelyn Sabal y Rico, female, 33, single of Pasay, San Roque.

Aspacio said that his team confiscated from the suspects’ possession five sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and P500 marked money.

The PDEA added that the suspects will be charged for violation of section 5 (selling of illegal drugs), section 11 (possession of illegal drugs) and section 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia) under Article II of RA 9165.

Meanwhile, another suspect was arrested at around 1:30 a.m. last Tuesday in Camino Nuevo.

The suspect was identified as Elmer Aniñon y Silay, 40, married, a laborer of Boholano Drive, Camino Nuevo.

PDEA agents confiscated from his possession eleven sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and P500 marked money.

The suspect will be charged for the same offense.

All the suspects were detained at the PDEA Headquarter for filing of charges in court. – Dan Toribio
