TF Ordinance nets 261 violators Print

The city government’s Task Force Ordinance enforcers have apprehended 261 violators during the first two weeks of December, the City Administrator’s Office reported Monday.

Assistant City Administrator for Operations Cesar Raz told the press briefing that for the period Dec. 8-14 a total 235 people were apprehended in traffic ordinance enforcement.

Of the total, 23 were backriding without helmet, 56 “No U-turn,” 10 disregarding traffic signals/gestures, 6 obstruction, 1 wearing slippers, 6 driving without helmet, 12 turning left on “No left turn” zone, 2 truck ban violators, 2 driving without requirements/miscellaneous accessories, 15 illegal parking, 1 “No loading/unloading,” 2 breach of franchise and 99 Jay Walking violators.

Also apprehended and issued with notice of violation were 4 Sidewalk Ordinance, 4 Pedicab Operation, 5 Market Code and 13 Solid Waste Ordinance.

The Traffic Ordinance enforcers have likewise confiscated 1,382 driver’s licenses, of which 845 were already claimed by owners. Impounded were 3 motorcycles, 3 kuliglig and 2 pedicab.-(Vic Larato)
