A 41-year-old man was killed while his opponent was wounded during a gun duel at Alvarez Drive, Barangay Mampang yesterday morning.

Police identified the fatality as Muktadir Awali, married.

Raffy Ladjahali y Amdan was wounded in the incident.

Tetuan Police Station commander Supt. Hadjiri Langgal disclosed that at around 6:30 a.m. Awali was at their residence when Ladjahali arrived and suddenly shot the former, hitting him in the chest and abdomen.

Although wounded, Awali was able to get his gun and shoot at Ladjahali.

Awali and Ladjahali were taken to different hospitals but the former was declared dead on arrival by physicians.

Ladjahali was confined in a private hospital for treatment.
