The Zamboanga Coast Guard has cancelled the trips of all passenger and cargo vessels yesterday morning.

Zamboanga Coast Guard Station Commander Alvin Dagalea said that trips of all passenger and cargo vessels leaving Zamboanga have been cancelled effective 10 a.m. yesterday.

The Zamboanga Coast Guard initially cancelled the voyages of all cargo vessels going to Luzon, Visayas, the eastern part of Zamboanga Peninsula and Northern Mindanao last Thursday.

At around 6 a.m. yesterday, all vessels going to Sulu, Tawi-Tawi provinces and Mapun island were also cancelled.

At 10am yesterday, the Zamboanga Coast Guard announced the cancellation of trips even to Basilan and the nearby islands.

The cancellation resulted from rains brought about by Tropical Depression Vinta.

Cancellation remains effective until further notice. (Liza Jocson)
