Three Zamboanga shipping line employees failed to make it home for Christmas when they were killed after their vehicle slammed into a parked truck along the national highway in Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

A Police Regional Office-9 report identified the fatalities as Romel Adante, Rolly Arzadon, and Jovani Partosa.

The report said that the victim’s vehicle, a Hyundai Tucson driven by Maeverick Reyes Bagtasos was travelling on high speed along the national highway going towards Ipil Municipality when the road crash happened.

Upon reaching Barangay Baluran in Tungawan, the victims’ vehicle crashed on the rear portion of an Isuzu truck which was under repair and parked along the side of the road.

Adante, Arzadon and Partosa were declared dead on arrival by attending  physicians at the Ipil Provincial Hospital.

Four of their companions, Reden Alvarez, Kid Mark Limbaga, Ryan John Salvador, Arcid Jairun and Bagtasos were brought to the same hospital for treatment of their injuries.

All victims are residents of Zamboanga City and workers of Aleson Shipping, according to Police Regional Office-9 reports.

The Hyundai Tucson was brought to the Tungawan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
