Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) are preparing charges for drug possession and trading against the security guard who was arrested with P12.5-million worth of shabu during a drug buy-bust operation last Saturday.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the suspect  as Al-Jhamer Jakilan y Unding, 33, married, a security guard and a native of Isabela City, Basilan.

The suspect will be charged for violations of sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act 9165.

Recall that at around 1 p.m. last Saturday,  PDEA-ARMM and PDEA9 agents led by Aspacio conducted a buy-bust operation in Estrada Street, Tetuan that led to the arrest of Jakilan.

Confiscated during the operation were nine pieces self-sealing plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, two pieces self-sealing plastic bags wrapped in a transparent cello wrap containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing more or less 2,443.8 grams worth P12,215,000, one can of Khong Guan
