Abu Sayyaf bandits struck anew and kidnapped a private contractor yesterday morning in Sulu.

Joint Task Force Sulu Commander Brig General Cirilito Sobejana  identified the victim as Engr. Enrico Nee.

Nee was abducted by suspected Abu Sayyaf members at around 8 a.m. in Upper San Raymundo, Jolo Sulu.

The perpetrators then escaped aboard their red vehicle going towards  Barangay Anuling in Patikul Sulu.

Meanwhile, Sobejana said that the military has already recovered the getaway vehicle used in the abduction at around noontime yesterday.

The military is still tracking down the bandits.

"We will not stop our rescue efforts until all kidnap victims are recovered safely," said Sobejana in a statement.

Sobejana is appealing to the public to inform authorities on hostile plans by lawless elements so authorities can take immediate action.  (Ely Dumaboc)
