“Sana maaksiyonan lahat. Huwag lang mag picture picture.”

Such is the sentiment of Milha L., a beneficiary of a Z3R housing unit in Tulungatung, the site of the housing development where one of the houses collapsed on February 14.

Because of the incident, Milha expressed apprehension on what will happen to her own house which was said to have been built together with the collapsed structure.

“Mas takot kami ngayon.  May bumagsak na bahay, ebidensya at kitang kita yung ginawa nila, bulok,”  Milha said.

Another resident, Nurina Mardisa, fears that her own life will end while staying inside her house, another structure constructed under Z3R in Tulungatung.

“ Sana maaksyonan ng mga matataas ang problema namin kasi nakasalalay dito ang buhay namin,”  said Mardisa.

Carmelita Buklasan, another beneficiary, said that the incident has affected the health and well-being of the residents in the area.

“Hindi kami makatulog nang mahimbing.  Nagaalala kami,”  Buklasan said.

Buklasan also said that they are prepared to be relocated provided that their house will be repaired by the government.

In an interview, however, with City Hall spokesperson Cesar Jimenez Jr., he said that only a few units are available to serve as temporary shelters in the area.

The beneficiaries aired their sentiments during the investigation conducted by the city government on Tulungatung housing.

During the investigation,  Jimenez accused NHA District Manager Al-Khwarizmi Indanan as responsible for the defects in Z3R housing units.  (RGAAGo)
