6k vacancies up for grabs in Dia de Zambo job fair Print

A total of 6,930 vacancies for local and overseas postings are up for grabs for the upcoming Dia de Zamboanga Job Fair 2018 from February 27-28 at the Red Cross Training Center in Pettit Barracks.

According to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), there will 22 local companies and 9 overseas agencies looking to fill up the 6,930 vacancies. Of this number, 1,095 are vacancies with local companies while 5,835 are vacancies with overseas agencies.

The job fair is intended for high school graduates, college graduates of any course, skills training graduates of TESDA and other categories with ages 18 years old and above. Applicants are advised to bring their resume and other pertinent credentials and in proper attire for the interview.

The job fair will also be a venue for the registration of interested applicants for the Skills Training Program Scholarship (STPS) of TESDA.

The activity is an annual event of the city in celebration of the Dia de Zamboanga and forms part of the City Government’s thrust to help provide employment opportunities for the unemployed sector.

It is held in partnership with the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). (Jasmine Mohammadsali/PR)
