2-day Dia de Zambo job fair kicks off today Print

The two-day Dia de Zamboanga job fair will reel off today, Feb. 27 until Feb. 28 offering almost 7,000 job vacancies for placements locally and abroad.

The Philippine Red Cross Training Center in Pettit Barracks will be the venue for Feb. 27 while the Feb. 28 job fair will be held at the KCC East Wing with the TESDA registration at the KCC Basement 1.

According to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), there will be more than 20 local companies and 9 overseas agencies looking to fill up the 6,930 vacancies. Of this number, 1,095 are vacancies with local companies while 5,835 are vacancies with overseas agencies.

The job fair is intended for high school graduates, college graduates of any course, skills training graduates of TESDA and other categories with ages 18 years old and above. Applicants are advised to bring their resume and other pertinent credentials and in proper attire for the interview.

The job fair will also be a venue for the registration of interested applicants for the Skills Training Program Scholarship (STPS) of TESDA.

The event is organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)-City Social Welfare and Development Office in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Overseas Welfare Administration (POEA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
