Sulu educator awarded Gawad Sagisag Quezon PDF Print E-mail

BANGUINGUI, Sulu – The Komisyon sa Wikang  Filipino (KWF) recently nameed the district supervisor of  the Department of Education (DepEd) in Sulu as this year’s Gawad Sagisag Quezon awardee.

KWF awarded a plaque of recognition to  Haj Mohammad Amin A. Aukasa, DepEd district 2 supervisor, during  a recognition night held  at the Centennial Room of the Manila Hotel in  Manila on August 24

KWF Commissioner Jose  Laderas Santos said “ang Gawad Sagisag Quezon ay taunang pagpili ng mga bayani ng wika kaugnay ng adhika ni Pangulong Quezon na pagkakaroon ng isang wika panlahat,”

The KWF also chose  Aukasa for his  deep involvement in the promotion of the  Pilipino language in this part of the country.
The KWF also cited Aukasa’s  leadership in the field of education having been a recipient of the Gintong Sikap Award in 2004  and the Bronze Medal of Merit Award from the Boy Scout of the Philippines in 1990.

Banguingi Mayor Abdulwahid Sahidulla congratulated Aukasa for his achievement in  the field of education as he vowed to continue supporting   the educational system here under the leadership of Aukasa. — Nonoy E. Lacson
