Three more Abu Sayyaf members surrendered to members of Joint Task Force Sulu last Sunday.

Western Mindanao Command spokesperon Capt. Joann Petinglay identified the three as Hajar Abbang, 38; Kirah Ainazri, 20, and Sani S. Jawad, 18.

The three voluntarily surrendered to the Philippine Marine Ready Force 2 of Joint Task Force Sulu at around 9:45 a.m. last Sunday.

Abang was a follower of the late Abu Sayyaf leader Alhabsy Misaya while the two others are followers of the late Abu Sayyaf leader Abraham Hamid.

The trio also surrendered their firearms to authorities.

Joint Task Force Sulu commander Brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana lauded the accomplishment of the marines and said that with the right combination of focused military operations that pressure the Abu Sayyaf and the non-violent approach, it is expected that more ASG members will be neutralized.  (Westmincom PR)
