Abu arrested in Rio Hondo Print

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)- Manila backed-up with NBI-Zamboanga and police and military Intelligence operatives arrested a suspected member of the Abu Sayyaf group at the Rio Hondo Relocation Site last Tuesday.

The suspect was identified as Jimmy Bla alias Kim.

The suspect  is facing six counts of kidnapping and serious illegal detention under case numbers 128923-H to E.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Toribio Ilao, Jr., of the Regional Trial Court Branch 266, National Capital Region, Pasig City.

The suspect was allegedly involved in the kidnapping of Jehovah’s Witness members in Patikul, Sulu on August 20, 2002.

The suspect was detained for further tactical interrogation.

Meanwhile, another suspected member of the Abu Sayyaf Group was arrested in Sitio Buggok, Sta. Catalina.

The identity of the suspect was not yet available as of press time.—Dan Toribio
