Police are investigating a robbery which allegedly happened along Pilar Street at dawn last Wednesday.

A 25-year-old man reportedly lost his cell phone after being held up by a lone hold-upper along the junction of Villalobos and Pilar streets.

Police identified the victim as Jastine Anthony Diao Apolinario, single and a resident of 191 Milestone Drive, Talon-Talon.

Apolinario told police that  he was passing along the area at around 4 a.m. when an unidentified man armed with a hard object blocked his path and announced the heist.

The suspect allegedly took his Oppo F1 cell phone worth P4,000.

The victim later told authorities that that cell phone belongs to his aunt, Perla Izquierdo.

Police are investigating the claim of Apolinario after noting that nobody reported seeing the incident during an ocular investigation that ensued.
