LTO-9 reactivates Holy Week security plans Print

The Land Transportation Office-9 has reactivated two operational security plans to prepare for the coming Holy Week.

LTO-9 Regional Director Atty. Aminola Abaton identified the two as “Oplan Summer Vacation” and ‘Oplan Holy Week,”

Abaton explained that the situation in the region has been unpredictable, thus the re-launch of these two operational security plans to address any atrocities that can be committed by lawless elements.

“Maging busy talaga itong mga terminals, airports and seaports for visitors that will go home to their provinces,” said Abaton.

We will put up Help Desk Assistance Centers in every province and city where there are LTO-9 and RMC-9 District Offices to give assistance to people.

Abaton identified the agencies to be involved in the security plan as   the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board, Philippine Coast Guard, LTO-9, Philippine Ports Authority, Philippine Post Office, Maritime Industry Authority, and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.


Abaton also urged drivers to check their vehicles’ road worthiness to prevent accidents from happening.  (Allen Abastillas)
