Beng meets PMA’s top 5 Print

Mayor Beng Climaco on Friday expressed honor and pride, as she met 2Lt Mark Janzent Dacillo, the Zamboangueno Philippine Military Academy senior class cadet who graduated top 5 in the Alab Tala 2018 class.

Dacillo, together with his parents called on Mayor Climaco in City Hall  on Friday afternoon as a show of courtesy and respect as well as to thank the chief executive for her programs that seek to provide a better future for the youth.

Climaco congratulated and thanked Dacillo for his tenacity amidst the challenges that earned him the top 5 spot and considered as the cream of the crop in this year’s graduating class of the PMA. She wished the Dacillo the best of luck as he joins the Philippine Army.

Dacillo, 25, is a native of Tumaga and faced a number of obstacles before he was finally accepted in the country’s premier military school in 2013.

Aside from Dacillo, seven (7) other Zamboangueños graduated from the PMA this year. They form part of the 282 who graduated last Sunday, Martch 18, with 207 men and 75 women. More than half (243) will join the Philippine Army while 71 will join the Air Force and 68 will join the Philippine Navy.

In a separate occasion, two other Zamboangueño cadets Abellon and Peneyra, called on the mayor together with their parents and guardians.

The mayor was elated by their presence and offered some tokens as a show of appreciation for their feats and efforts. (Sheila Covarrubias)
