The Highway Patrol Group-9 has recovered two suspected carnapped vehicles during their series of anti-carnapping operations this Holy Week.

Sr. Insp. Mervin Claret, HPG-9 Investigation Officer, described the first vehicle as a  2007 Toyota Vios with plate number KZH-366.

The unit was flagged down after operatives noticed that it lacked a 2018 LTO sticker.

Upon checking, operatives found out that the unit is owned by New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Inc. a company based in Pasig City and is under the alarm/ hold status of the Philippine National Police.

The unit was impounded after the driver failed to provide documents to prove ownership.

Meanwhile, Zamboanga del Norte HPG operatives also recovered an orange Ford Ranger pick-up vehicle with plate number II 7498 at the Pulauan Port in Dapitan City.

HPG-9 operatives discovered that papers presented by the vehicle’s driver were falsified.  (Allen Abastillas)
