Congressman Celso Lobregat calls on the education sector here in Zamboanga City to continue working with him to provide better and more relevant education programs for our children here in the city especially those who are less fortunate in life.

Lobregat said that he is continually inspired with the better results and completion of those students who availed of the educational assistance of his office, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Education (DepED) who, in unison are working together to provide the essential education programs and assistance for the poor but deserving students here.

Congressman Lobregat said that in 2017,  P12.55 million was made available for the continuing and new beneficiaries of educational assistance for 1st and 2nd semester under the national government’s Tulong Dunong Program.

In addition, Lobregat said, that with the passage of RA 10931, the students of state universities and colleges will avail of free tuition and miscellaneous and other fees.
