Lamitan City will once again explode in a festive mood this June as it celebrates the Lami-Lamihan Festival.

The celebration was cancelled last year in sympathy to  victims of the Marawi siege.

Lamitan City Mayor Rose Furigay said that the festival, to be dubbed “Lamihan sa Lamitan City 2018” will be celebrated on June 26.

Among the activities lined up for the celebration are an agriculture fair, a cultural and musical show, live band concerts, and trade activities showcasing products of Lamitan city.

The celebration will also feature a street dance, a town fair and a motocross exhibition.

Meanwhile, Furigay thanked Zamboanga city for promoting Yakan weaving to the world market.

“ Grande gad se ayuda na maga weaver and artists de amon pakilaya man produce el Yakan weaving y tambien tan promote conel Lamitan city,”   Furigay said. (Allen Abastillas)
