Coconut farmers only have three more months to register with the Philippine Coconut Authority for them to benefit from the coco levy funds, according to a Philippine Coconut Authority official.

The PCA is thus urging coconut farmers and workers to register with their office for them to be included in the National Coconut Farmer Registry and avail of the benefits of the coco levy fund.

Those eligible to register at the PCA for the National Coconut Farmer Registry are  coconut farmers, workers, and care takers.

These parties merely have to visit the PCA office for registration.  The PCA will then conduct validation on the names included in the list.

Coconut farmers and workers who fail to register might face difficulty in availing of the cocolevy funds, Carba warned.

Carba said that farmers only have three more months to register with the PCA.  Registration started two years ago.

The PCA is expecting 14,000 coconut farmers to register with the PCA.

Presently, however, only 2,000 have registered to avail of the coco levy fund benefits.  (RGAAGo)
