16 arrested in drug buy-busts Print

Sixteen persons, including two women, were arrested over the week in separate drug operations as police continued its war against illegal drugs in the different parts of the city.

Police Station 1 personnel arrested Dave Icao y Beltran, 35, single, during drug buy-bust operations along Tomas Claudio Street, Zone III at 2:30 p.m. last Friday.

Police confiscated from his possession a sachet of shabu and P500 marked money.

Two hours later, Police Station 4 personnel arrested Bardeliza Surian y Florida and Gamar Mawadil y Linda at the port area.

Police seized from their possession three sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

In another part of the city,  Curuan Police Station personnel arrested Saudi Zamora y Balocang along Don Toribio Street in Tetuan.

Confiscated from his possession were three sachets of shabu and P300 marked money.

An hour later, Sta. Maria Police personnel arrested Ana Marie Santos y Valis and Charlene Catacutan y Bulat-ag in Bagong Dalan, Tugbungan.

Policemen confiscated from their possession three sachets of shabu and P200 marked money.

At around 11:10 p.m., Police Station  11 policement arrested Muammar Angsa y Hapa in Sibigtol, Arena Blanco.

Seized from his possession were five sachets of shabu and P200 marked money.

Twenty minutes later, Intelligence operatives arrested Rickmark Bello y Kawaguchi, Roderick Apolinario y Bandolinao, Valentino Bonifacio y Campas and John Paul Manalo y Ituralde while they were having a pot session in Barigon, Tugbungan.

Police confiscated from their possession a sachet of shabu and several drug paraphernalia.

Minutes before midnight, Darwin Jimlano y Gonzales was arrested by men of the Ayala Police Station.

Police recovered from his possession two sachets of shabu and P200 marked money.

The night before, Tetuan Police Station personnel also arrested Brian Sahiron y Kasim, Reynaldo Morillo y Santiago, Ellie May Viado y Apolonio and Al-Jihad Palahuddin y Wid  in Bougainvillea Road, Guiwan.

Police confiscated from their possession 15 sachets of shabu, P400 marked money and drug paraphernalia.

All the suspects were detained at the respective police stations pending the filing of charges in court. – Dan Toribio
