A man was killed after a policeman fired at two persons who were playing card games inside a house in Isabela City, Basilan  last Friday night.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 Information Officer, identified the fatality as Reynante Enrico Utod, 50 years old, separated and a resident of Barangay Matarling, Lantawan Municipality, Basilan Province.

Another victim, identified as Aisa Omar Addin, 28 years old and a resident of Tandung Ahas, Lamitan City, was injured in the attack.

Galvez said that Utod and Addin were playing card games at the residence of a certain Ibno Pael at around 11p.m. when the gunman barged into the house and shot the two victims.

Addin sustained a gunshot wound in the back and was treated at the Basilan Community Hospital.
