Police are giving a P50,000 reward for the capture of Sulayman Sali, one of the sixteen detainees who escaped from the Tetuan Police Station detention cell last Tuesday.

Fifteen detainees have been recaptured by police during the next 24 hours after their escape.

Sali is the only detainee who has eluded arrest and remains at large as of presstime.

Sali is facing drug-related charges.

Sr. Insp. Shellamie Chang, Zamboanga City Police Office Information Officer, said that any individual who has information about Sali may report to the nearest police station about the fugitive’s whereabouts.

Chang said that the reward money was contributed by individuals who are supporting authorities in maintaining order in the city.

The giving out of the reward money for Sali was announced by Tetuan Police Station acting chief Supt. Alvin Saguban during a press conference last Thursday.  (Dan Toribio)
