Land Transportation Office-9 (LTO-9) personnel apprehended a total of 35 colorum vehicles during their series of operations under “Task Force Kamao” in Zamboanga Peninsula.

A total of 27 motor vehicles were apprehended in Pagadian city.

Task Force personnel apprehended 7 vehicles in Zamboanga city and a colorum van in Dipolog city.

LTO-9 Regional Director Atty. Aminola Abaton said that the vehicle operators face penalties depending on the vehicle classification.

Erring bus operators face a penalty of P1-million while van and jeepney operators face penalties of P200,000 and P60,000 respectively.

Abaton advised public utility vehicle owners to stop their illegal operation because the Task Force is going to be aggressive in their anti-colorum drive.

“Task Force Kamao” is an inter-agency traffic management team composed of the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Highway Patrol Group (HPG), Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and personnel from local government units.  (Allen Abastillas)
