23,000 vacancies for Labor Day job fair Print

A total of 23,158 jobs will be up for grabs during the Labor Day job fair organized by the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 9 (DOLE-9) at the Zamboanga Ecozone from April 30 to May 1.

Karen Grafia, DOLE 9 Information Officer, said that there are 4,847 local job vacancies  and  18,311 overseas job opportunities.

There are 21 local companies and 17 recruitment agencies for overseas vacancies  participating in the job fair.

A free bus ride is also available from 6am to 12noon at the Philippine Red Cross, located at Petit Barracks while D’ Biel is also giving a 50%  discount on bus fare for trips going to the Zamboanga Ecozone the entire day.

For added convenience. applicants are advised to pre-register at www.dole9.org, fill up the form and wait for the  SMS confirmation.

They should prepare the needed documents, and wait for the job fair schedule.

Documents to prepare include the following: Resume, birth certificate, diploma, transcript of records, clearances, training certificates, and others.

“It’s important for them to really prepare their Resume. Their Resume should reflect who they are, what they are good at, and what their ideal job is,” Grafia said.

Grafia advised jobseekers to be presentable and prepare themselves for the interview. (RGAAGo)
