Two of the Japanese national’s cohorts were arrested in separate operations conducted in Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga city last Thursday.

Niida was arrested along the Maria Clara Lobregat Highway on April 17.

Police said that two more suspects are the subject of pursuit and manhunt operations but refused to divulge their identities.

Niida reportedly hired his two co-conspirators, Pahilago and Francisco, to look for an assassin to murder the former’s wife.

Jenneliz was killed by an unidentified assailant in Guiwan last December.
