Heads must roll during the upcoming inquiry on the sorry state of Z3R housing projects in Zamboanga city, said First District Congressman Celso Lobregat.

Congressman Lobregat said that the quality of the NHA implemented housing projects has serious quality and safety issues which cause danger to the lives of those residents now living in the Z3R project sites.

Congressman Lobregat said that since the NHA is the lead agency of project, they must be held liable for the same, including other agencies and local officials who are part of the Z3R Project.

Lobregat also held liable a monitoring committee organized by City Hall to look into the development of the housing project.

The solon said that even he has noted deficiencies in the houses on stilts in Sitio Hongkong, Barangay Rio Hondo like the wooden foot bridges and posts of the houses on stilts which have notable signs of wear and tear.

"My recommendation is to replace the wooden bridges which is about 25,049 linear meters and will cost some PhP897 million pesos to construct the concrete bridge in order to prevent further accidents in the future," Lobregat said.

Lobregat sais that no matter what happens in the upcoming committee hearing in congress, certain officials should be sacked or held liable for what happened, thus jeopardizing the safety of residents living in those areas. (Dexter Yap)
