The 901st Maritime Police Station filed charges against the owner of a fishing boat from Sarangani Province found to have violated provisions of the Fisheries Code.

The fishing boat was identified as the F/B Princess Michelle.

The boat was apprehended during seaborne operations last April 28 for fishing without a valid license.

The boat owner is now facing charges for violation of RA 10654 otherwise known as the Fisheries Code of the Philippines.

The fishing boat was among eight boats from Sarangani and the Visayas apprehended by the 901st Maritime Police Station for various violations while fishing in waters off Zamboanga City last April 28.

The seven other boats are the June2, Ashley Prid Shalom, EIA, Mario, Lance, Miracle and an unidentified boat, all from Negros Oriental.  (Allen Abastillas)
