Veteran broadcast and print journalist Jemuel E. Mojica, who also sits as an Associate Editor of the Daily Zamboanga Times, is  seeking re-election as Barangay Kagawad of  Divisoria.

Mojica is serving his first term as an elected  kagawad of Divisoria Barangay Council and is running under the team of incumbent Punong Barangay Jessie F. Macrohon.

As a member of the Divisoria Barangay Council, Mojica chairs two committees: the Committee on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and the Committee on Ways and Means.

He is credited for the conceptualization of a comprehensive Barangay Disaster Plan and the organization of the Barangay Disaster teams, procurement of disaster tools, equipment and accessories in his barangay.

Mojica has been closely working with Barangay Chairman Macrohon in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the community especially in lobbying for infrastructure projects from the city government and congressional office.

Under the Macrohon administration, the barangay council has been able to realize the following projects: the construction of a modern Barangay Hall, Barangay Health Center , the concreting of the Lumiyap barangay road, additional road concreting of the Divisoria Valley Subdivision, and the Ebol Drive barangay road concreting.

He was also responsible for implementing  numerous multi-purpose pavements or MPPs during the past four years of the barangay administration. (Allen Abastillas)
