A farmer who refused to wait for his order was killed in a hacking incident at Purok Venus, Barangay Culasian, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur last Thursday.

A Police Regional Office-9 report identified the victim as 47-year-old Roberto Villamor Rasonable.

The suspects were identified as Eduard Saligan Ruiz, 33; and Junrey Saligan Ruiz, 20.

The incident transpired at a store where the victim ordered wine from the storekeeper, identified as Cristine Tacuge.

Tacuge requested Rasonable to wait since her mother was not yet around, a request which angered Rasonable and prompted him to strike Cristine with a bamboo stick.

Eduard tried to pacify the victim but the latter got more angry and used the stick to hit Eduard.

Eduard together with his brother Junrey retaliated and using their bolo, hacked the victim several times resulting to his death.

The suspects were arrested and are now temporarily detained at the Margosatubig Muniticpal Detention Center.  (Remus Ong)
