Wayward truck plows into store, house Print

Two persons were injured after a wayward truck plowed into a sari-sari store and a  house along the national highway of Barangay Biayon, Sergio Osmeña municipality in Zamboanga del Norte last Sunday.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 Information Officer, identiifed the victims as Jocelyn Lumayao, Richard Tumogdon, and the truck driver identified as 33-year old Jun Lucidos Gado.

Investigation disclosed that the dropside truck, loaded with 488 sacks of rice, was travelling from Aurora Municipality bound for Dipolog City when the accident happened.

Upon reaching Sitio Talaban, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle which subsequently plowed into a store owned by Lumayao and a house owned by Mr. and Mrs Maligro.

The store was totally damaged.

The victims, meanwhile, were brought to the Zanorte Medical Center for treatment.  (L. Jocson)
