Five persons, including two minors, were injured when their motorcycles collided along Calarian Highway last Wednesday afternoon.

Police said that a motorcycle driven by Alvin Coronel Bucoy, 47 with backriders Gina Coronel Garcia, 34, Mark Alvin Garcia Bucoy, 7 and Reyrado Garcia Bucoy, 4, all residents of Ayala, were heading towards the west coast last Wednesday afternoon when the collision occurred.

When the group reached Calarian, another motorcycle driven by Alimar Aradji Unding suddenly moved towards the center of the road in an attempt to make a U-turn.

The first motorcycle hit the second, causing all riders to be thrown to the ground.

All of the riders sustained injuries due to the strong impact of the collision.

The victims were taken to the hospital while both motorcycles were impounded at the police station.  (Dan Toribio)
