The Zamboanga City Reformatory  Center  will initiate the “Balik Eskwela  Alay Sa Anak Ng PDL” (Persons Deprived of Liberty) before classes start in June.

ZCRC Jail Warden J/Chief Insp. Nathaniel Aljas said that the program seeks to provide inmates’ children in grade school with school supplies like bags, notebooks, pencils, ballpens, and others.

JO3 RL Compredio, ZCRC-BJMP Spokesperson, said that around 60 inmates have been identified by the screening personnel to qualify for the program.

BJMP personnel had donated some items like old but still usable shoes, clothes and others intended for the inmates’ children.

The program is being handled by the ZCRC Inmate Welfare Development (IWD) Desk and the Civil Relation Service (CRS).

The target of distribution of the school supplies will be given before the opening of classes in June. (Joey Bautista)
