Robbers carted away more than half a million pesos in cash from a bag that was left inside a parked vehicle along Governor Camins Avenue at midnight yesterday.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 Information Officer, said that the incident happened after 26-year old Rodemer Amil Abdulkadil and his companions, Abdulla Abdurahman and Amer Rashdy Omar,  parked their vehicle and went inside a KTV massage parlor after arriving from Pagadian city.

Abdulkadil left his backpack containing the money at the back seat of his parked vehicle.

When they returned to their truck, the victims noticed that the window on the right side had been removed and the bag containing the money was missing.

Abdulkadil told police that the bag contained cash amounting to P575,000.

Police are reportedly conducting an investigation on the identity of the suspects by reviewing the footages recorded by a CCTV camera in the area.  (Remus Ong)
