HPG-9 seizes suspected stolen Toyota Vios sedan PDF Print E-mail

Highway Patrol Group 9 operatives seized a black Toyota Vios with plate number KFV 342 during anti-carnapping operations last Monday along  Camins Road.
The Toyota car was stopped because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. When it was verified through the Vehicle Infromation Management System ( VIMS ), it was found out that the car was under hold order under alarm number WL2004-0505-018 dated May 17,  2004 under the description of “ Failed to Return” reported by a certain  Atty. C.A Padilla New York Mansion Quezon City.

When it was seized by the HPG-9 operatives, it was driven by a certain Omar  and registered with the Land Transportation Office, Tubod Extension Office, dated August 31, 2010 with registered owner H.B Mohib of Caragasan,  Zamboanga City.

HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Romeo R. Uy directed Inspector Raul P.  Salle to impound the car and conduct further investigation on its status.
The anti-carnapping operations are being carried out by the HPG-9 led by Insp. Raul P. Salle with PO3 Gabriel Pacsa, PO3 Gether Abo-Abo, PO3 Tanaon Sangcopan, PO3 Diosdado Catacutan, PO3 Bobby Solis and PO1 Idris Andong.

On the other hand, the Zamboanga Sibugay  Provincial Highway Patrol Team under   SPO4 Nestor Bandigan reported to Sr. Supt. Uy that an investigation he conducted on the getaway car used by the kidnappers of Luisa Galvez Morrison, owner of the BL Salon in Ipil showed that the multicab carries engine  number 5398914 . It was set afire by the kidnappers.
