The Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative (Zamcelco) is asking consumers to bring complaints related to voltage fluctuation to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) the agency which they claim is responsible for the problem.

Zamcelco General Manager Engr. Edgardo Ancheta, in a radio interview, said that this includes complaints for damage to appliances caused by the voltage fluctuation.

Let us do it so all of us can bring the problem to the attention of the NGCP, said Ancheta during a radio interview with E-media’s Conversa earlier this week.

Ancheta attributed the voltage fluctuation to a problem in the NGCP system.

The fluctuation is reportedly caused by the delivery of low voltage by NGCP.

He explained that Zamcelco’s own system will bog down if they fail to implement the NGCP’s instruction.

Ancheta made the statement amid complaints aired by Zamcelco consumers on the increasing number of voltage fluctuations.

There had been at least three voltage fluctuations which have become the subject of an advisory by Zamcelco to its consumers. (LAJ)
