The City Health Office (CHO) is urging schools to include the teaching of Adolescence and Sexual Reproductive Health for students to be well-informed on the subjects.

Dr. Kibtiya Uddin, Assistant City Health Officer said, HIV AIDS, said that students must be informed on the following topics: Sexually Transmitted Infections, sexual abuse, reproductive health, and teenage pregnancy.

She is hoping that Adolescence and Sexual Reproductive Health will be included in the curriculum of High School students.

Currently, the Save the Children and trained school nurses are doing the information campaign to students.

Meanwhile, Felix Romy Triambulo, Officer-in-Charge of the Schools Division, also welcomes the idea.

He said that this must also be discussed with school health officials as the Department of Education (DepEd) also has its guidelines. (RGAAGo)
