Heavily armed members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) yesterday dawn kidnapped the half sister of Talipao, Sulu Mayor Nezar Tulawie while she was at her residence in the boundary of Barangay  Kandaga and Kuhaw in Talipao.

A sketchy military report received by DZT disclosed that the fully armed Abu Sayyaf bandits barged into the residence of the Tulawie’s and forcibly abducted Edelyn Tulawie and her mother, Addang Tulawie.

Members of the Talipao Barangay Police Action Team (BPAT) also joined in the search and rescue operations in  coordination with  the Army’s 501st Infantry Brigade in the area particularly in the hinterland village of Sinuman.

JTF-Sulu also said that all its military intelligence units  in the entire province were alerted to monitor  the areas where the victims might be possibly brought by the kidnappers.
