Suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) kidnapped the 7-year- old  daughter of a businessman in Tandubas Municipality, Tawi -Tawi province last Monday.

A belated military report identified the victim as Radzmalyn Asta of Sitio  Pinang, Barangay Himbah.

The military report said seven armed men believed to be members of the ASG who were aboard a green jungkung or water craft docked at the coastal area of Sitio Pinang at around 9:30 p.m.

The armed men  went directly to the  business establishment of  Rahis Asta, father of the  victim, and  pretended  to buy gasoline for their water craft.

At that time, the young Asta was still playing, giving a good chance for the  suspects to snatch her from her parents.

Her father immediately reacted and shot the  suspects but failed to hit them, and instead hit his wife, Rahsa Malyn Asta on the leg.

The suspects with the child sped away aboard their water craft towards the direction of Sulu Province while  her  Injured mother was brought to
