House Committee on Public Works and Highways and Congressman Celso Lobregat has directed DPWH Regional Office and the implementing contractor to fast track the rehabilitation of the damaged portion of the by-pass road which was destroyed by natural landslide and soil movements in the area.

Over the weekend, Congressman Lobregat together with DPWH field engineer Artemio Marcera and ALRAF Construction representatives inspected the damaged portion of the by-pass road from its point of convergence in Culianan-Guisao intersection up to Pasonanca junction, where some major repairs have to be done on portion where there are soil erosion and cracks.

Lobregat said that although the said project was not yet turned-over to the DPWH by ALRAF Construction, they must rehabilitate and ensure that those projects follow the standard being imposed by the national government.

The solon said that the government should not sacrifice the quality of such project which is a vital contribution of the national government contributing to the traffic decongestion of the city.

Lobregat, through DPWH also asked ALRAF Construction to remove and replace those portions of the newly constructed national road for the safety of all motorists in the near future when it will already be opened to the public.

Meantime, Lobregat also announced the processing of some payments for the Road-Right-Of-Way (RROW) for it to be paid to lot owners where the route of the by-pass road has passed. (PR)
