P6.4-M funds for Lamitan water projects Print

The Department of Interior and Local Government of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DILG-ARMM) has turned over P6.4-million in funds to develop potable water projects in Lamitan City.

The funds were turned over by DILG Lamitan City officer Nida Nur to Lamitan Mayor Rose Furigay at the Lamitan City Hall last week.

Mayor Furigay disclosed that the potable water projects will benefit at least nine (9) barangays in Lamitan City.

These are the barangays of Simbangon, Bohebessey, Parangbasak, Baas, Sabong, Lebbuh, Danit, Puntukan and Baimbing.

Currently, the Lamitan City Water District can only provide potable water to thirteen (13) barangays in Lamitan.

Lamitan City has 45 barangays. (Allen Abastillas)
