Motorcycle-riding gunmen struck anew in Barangay Divisoria last Sunday and shot dead a 32-year-old man who was buying from a store.

The fatality, identified as Edgar Satelices y De Guzman, tried to escape from the suspects but the latter chased him inside the store and shot him to death in front of horrified spectators.

The victim sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Santelices had just come from work and had alighted from a passenger jeepney at around 9 p.m. to buy electronic load from a store in the area.

One of two men who were riding-in -tandem shot the victim who was walking towards the store.

Although wounded, the victim managed to run inside the store but the gunman chased and finished him off.

The suspects sped away after the incident leaving the victim dead.

Investigation by police also disclosed that at around 12 noon that day, Santelices was taking his lunch at a fast food outlet near Makers Store along Governor Camins Avenue when three men appeared and mauled him.

After the incident, the suspects left the place while the victim reported back to work.

Police said that the assailants might have been suspecting that the victim was having an affair with his female co-worker who is allegedly the girl friend of one of the suspects.

Police believed that the gunmen were the same suspects who mauled the victim earlier that day.  (Dan Toribio)
