A foreigner was allegedly behind a multi-vehicle collision which caused damage to at least four vehicles along Governor Lim Avenue last Monday night this city.

Tilan Ye Chen, a Chinese-speaking foreigner from Sindangan Municipality, Zamboanga Del Norte, was driving his Toyota Hi-Lux vehicle at high speed along Governor Lim Avenue when he reportedly lost control of the steering wheel.

The Hi-Lux vehicle collided with a passenger jeepney driven by Richard Pataroque which was  parked along the street.

Due to the impact, the passenger jeepney also bumped two motorcycles and rammed into the stalls located in front of the Doña Vicenta Building.

All  four vehicles incurred damages.

Chen, the only casualty in the incident, was brought to the hospital.

Police, however, had difficulty in communicating with Chen but noticed that the Chinese was intoxicated when the mishap occurred.  (Dan Toribio)
