District 2 Representative Mannix Dalipe expressed irritation over Councilor Rommel Agan’s expression of gratitude to Congressman Manny Pacquiao for the latter’s reported allocation of half a billion pesos for Zamboanga City’s infrastructure projects.

Dalipe is referrring to a whole page publication at Zamboanga Times and Zamboanga Today wherein Agan thanked Pacquiao for appropriating some P562-million intended for various infrastructure projects for District 2,  Dalipe’s district.

“Porque man ele el ta man claim, demiyo se mga project, imbustero ele. Amo se el mga priority project de Congressman Mannix Dalipe, iyo se ya initia y ya man ground break, sabe el publico cay demiyo se initiative mga proyecto,” Dalipe stressed.

Dalipe  initiated three infrastructure projects such as the construction of a P282-million Buenavista (Binaloy Bridge) to Bolong Coastal Road,  the P140-million construction of the diversion road (Cabaluay- Zambowood-Mampang section) and the construction of Mampang to Sta. Catalina coastal road also amounting to P140-million.

“Quien ba el congresista na Distrito Dos? Baka ya olvida sila. Ese proposed alternate highway, that was initiated by Mannix Dalipe, we wrote a letter to the DPWH Secretary before and I have proposed that project during our budget hearings in Congress.  The  dates and records will speak for itself,” Dalipe said.

Dalipe explained that the role of Senator Pacquiao is to ensure that priority projects are implemented based on what was proposed by other lawmakers, such as Dalipe.

Dalipe said that it is grossly unfair for Councilor Agan to claim credit on his initiated projects in public as it is a form of misleading the people.

“El cosa yo pwede habla, ese cosa le ya publica amo se ya man propose si Mannix Dalipe.  Kabar ya aprova el Congreso, el cosa ya pwede hace el senado is to support,”  Dalipe said.
