ZamboValientes: A team to beat in the MPBL PDF Print E-mail

Zamboanga Family’s Brand Valientes has become one of the teams to beat in the on-going  2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup as it climbs up to third place in the league’s South Division.

The Valientes won their game last July 16 against Marikina Shoemasters and now record two wins and two defeats.

The next game of the Valientes against the Pasig Pirates has been  scheduled on June 26 at the Pasig Sports Center.  Results were not available as of presstime.

The Valientes is being coached by EdnieMorones.  Players of the team include the following: Jonathan Pareno, GrevRublico, Peter De Ocampo, Das Esa, Loyd Castor, and Due Lacastesantos.

This is the first time that these players were given the opportunity to be seen on national television despite having participated in other big league games such as the LigaPilipinas and the PBA-D league.

Playing in the MPBL South Division are the MuntinlupaCagers, Parañaque Patriots, Laguna Heroes, Davao Occidental Tigers, Bacoor Strikers, Batangas City Athletics, Basilan Steels, Imus Bandera, General Santos Warriors, Marikina Shoemasters, Rizal Crusaders, Cebu City Sharks, and the Valientes.

Teams playing in the league’s north division are the following: San Juan Knights, Mandaluyong El Tigre, Manila Stars, Bataan Risers, Makati Skyscrapers, BulacanKuyas, Pampanga Lanterns, Caloocan Supremos, Valenzuela Classic, Navotas Clutch, Quezon City Capital, Pasay Voyagers, and Pasig Pirates.

The league was made possible by Senator Manny Pacquiao and the Navarro family with the support of Family’s Brand Sardines.

Team President Neil Makasiar is encouraging the public to continue supporting the team by watching their games and patronizing the sardines brand. (RGAAGo)
