Farmer killed, son wounded in Salug shooting PDF Print E-mail

A farmer was killed while his son sustained gunshot wounds after four suspects raided their house at Barangay Calucap, Salug Municipality, Zamboanga del Norte last Tuesday.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 Information Officer, identified the victims as Roberto Sandig y Dangga, 49 and his son, 23-year-old Rodnie Sandig y Pedi.

The suspects were identified as George Sua, his brother Ranel Sua and two other unidentified persons.

Investigation disclosed that the suspects entered the house of the victims and shot them using cal .45 and 9mm firearms.

Rodnie sustained two gunshot wounds and was brought to a local hospital for treatment.  Roberto, meanwhile, sustained gunshot and hack wounds which resulted to his death.

Salug Municipal Police Station personnel conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspects.  (Ely Dumaboc)
